#39 The Gift of People, Stories and Truly Listening

Mar 31, 2022

I like people. I love hearing their stories and learning things with and from them. Chances are, if we’ve spent any time together either in person or virtually, I’ve enjoyed hearing some of yours too. I think a lot of this came from my grandma. For her, there was nothing better than having one of us kids come through her door and share what we were up to. The day she died, I was able to tell her that her love of teaching and listening would live on through me. It has.

It’s a special thing to run across someone who is gifted with sharing stories and teaching their craft. I want to share a bit about someone who does both- but has an even more rare attribute- he also listens- truly listens and truly likes people. He’s become a friend of mine and someone who has changed my horsemanship. Many of you met him last year, his name is Charley Snell and he’s a gift of a human.

Read more about Charley’s story here.

Charley will be doing his second virtual clinic with me this coming May. I’m delighted to say that we’ll be doing a third in October! Charley was skeptical when I shared the idea of virtual clinics with him last year- he apprehensively tried it out and was pleasantly surprised by how much people were able to learn and apply and now he’s all in to do a couple more.

The clinic in May will be another running of the one we did last year- it’s called Letting Go of Trouble. We’ll make a couple of changes but the subject matter is the same- getting to your horse’s mind and helping them let go of tension and worry.

The clinic in October will be brand new. We’d love to have you join in on one or both. You won’t be sorry- he’s a breed that is often only found in the history books- it’s a special chance to learn with a special horseman. Learn more by clicking on the photo below.
